Telephone and Telegraph (T&T) Board of Chittagong has set up a 64,000 -line network for its Teletalk mobile subscribers.

One engineer of the contracting firm Huawei Company of China told BDNEWS that more than 50 percent of the work has already been completed.

They added that 112 Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) would be set up in the Chittagong region from Teknaf to Comilla.

At least 15 BTSs have already been set up in the Chittagong city.

This network will not cover the Chittagong Hill Tracts region, as T&T has no plan to set up BTS in the hill districts.
