I was told also but no info how to activate. but sure if its really gives or not.
But as I know teletalk's 80% share will be bought by VODAFONE. And the new name will be in bangladesh VodaTalk
And best thing is
customer no need to pay to phone company
All call charge will be free
But for net browsing, sms etc will be charged.
If yes then where the other company will go

i think the rumour (if there is any) about teletalk is bullshit...
teletalk is in deep shit, and everybody knows that, they have the lowest subscriber base of all the five operators and facing huge loss due to government procedures (red tape- amlatantrik). they need govt clearance for setting up one tower!! and their service sucks, i used it after winning it in a internet lottery and later throw the sim away!
trust me, vodafone is not a fool company, they invested in potential companies all over the world, like bharti in india all lots of others...... they might invest in aktel or gp, but i think aktel is most suitable as gp has strong partner - telenor!
anyway, there is another company coming dhabi group from UAE, they operate as warid telecom in pakistan, they will start their operation on june 2006, so teletalk goes further into the shit.........
sad for teletalk but they dont have the competence to be in the race.....
